This policy explains how 1225labo (the operator) handles information on this official website. Our apps and Kazusa Pocket have separate privacy policies describing their own practices.
1. Scope
This policy covers browsing the 1225labo website, making inquiries and administering the site. There is no membership registration for general visitors and no direct checkout on this website.
Data stored within an app is different from information collected when you visit its product page or contact us. Please follow the links on each product page to its own policy.
2. Information you send us
We receive your inquiry category, optional name, email address and message. This includes any app version, environment or reproduction steps you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, discuss development projects, investigate issues and maintain necessary correspondence records.
The contact form uses Google Forms and sends your entries to Google. We use Google's form and scripting services, together with email services, to review responses, receive notifications and reply. Do not send unnecessary passwords, payment details, other people's personal information or identifiable footage.
3. Access logs and administrator authentication
We handle server logs such as IP addresses, access times, requested pages, browser and device information, and referrers to deliver the site, investigate failures and prevent unauthorized access.
Administrator login uses the administrator's email address, a password hash, verification-code digests and expiry times, and authentication outcomes. Abuse prevention also uses comparison values derived from IP addresses or similar inputs and IP-based country lookup.
We use DB-IP country data to determine which analytics consent prompt to show on the public site and to protect administrator access. IP addresses are checked against a database on our server, not sent to DB-IP on each visit. This identifies a connection's apparent country, not your nationality or actual residence.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand usage and improve this website. Cookie or similar identifiers, pages viewed, access times, referrers, approximate region, and browser and device information are sent to Google.
Our website analytics configuration disables Google signals and advertising-personalization features. We do not intentionally send names or email addresses in analytics events. This does not mean all information is anonymous: cookie and similar identifiers are still used.
For connections identified as outside Japan, or whose country cannot be determined, we ask for analytics consent and make no Google Analytics requests until you agree. Connections identified as Japan are measured without a consent banner, but visitors in any region can decline or change their choice through the analytics settings in the footer.
We record your acceptance or refusal in the same browser's localStorage and treat it as valid for 180 days. We check the expiry on your next visit and remove an expired record. Refusing stops subsequent measurement and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies. We may ask again after browser storage is cleared or the choice expires. If your browser prevents storage, the choice applies only on the current page.
You can restrict measurement through your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out tools. Some settings may make parts of the site less convenient to use.
5. External services and disclosures
We use Amazon Web Services for hosting, Google services for inquiry handling, notifications and analytics, and email services for sending and receiving messages. Information needed for these operations is processed by the relevant services.
Depending on a provider's locations and processing arrangements, information may be handled outside Japan. For our outsourcing and international processing, we take measures required by applicable law, including appropriate safeguards, provider checks and disclosures. Each provider's own practices are also explained in its policy.
We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose personal data to third parties except for legally permitted processing arrangements, with the individual's consent, as required by law, or in other circumstances permitted by applicable law.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain correspondence for responding and maintaining necessary records, and access and authentication records for investigating failures or misuse. Unless continued support, a contract, dispute resolution or a legal reason requires retention, we delete information that is no longer needed or organize it so individuals are no longer identifiable.
Information marked for deletion may remain in backups until those backups are replaced in their normal cycle. Information held by Google or other providers is also subject to that service's settings and retention and deletion policies.
7. Security
We apply safeguards appropriate to the information, including access restrictions, encrypted communications, protection of authentication information, backups and abuse prevention. Access to inquiry information is limited to people who need it for the relevant work.
8. Access, correction and deletion requests
Use the contact form to request information about purposes of use, access, correction, restriction of use, deletion or restriction of third-party disclosure concerning information we hold. We verify identity only to the extent needed for the request and respond under applicable law.
We cannot retrieve app data we have never received or information controlled solely by an external service. In those cases, we can explain the relevant app or device controls or direct you to the appropriate provider.
9. Children
Children who cannot adequately understand the handling of their personal information should review this policy with a parent or guardian. Obtain parental or guardian consent before sending information or making an inquiry when such consent is required.
10. Updates and contact
We review this policy when features, information practices or laws change. We announce significant changes on this website or through another appropriate channel, and provide separate notices or obtain consent where required by law.
