MotionLab Capture Privacy Policy

This policy describes information handling in MotionLab Capture, an iPhone and iPad motion-creation app developed by 1225labo (the operator). It is currently in development and limited testing; public sales have not started.
1. Video and motion processing
Selected or recorded video, body-joint coordinates, 2D hand and face landmarks, and settings such as height are processed on your device for motion estimation, display, correction and export. They are not automatically uploaded to the operator's servers for analysis.
The app has no app-specific account registration, advertising SDK or third-party behavioral-tracking SDK. External processing connected with purchases, importing sources, sharing, support and beta distribution is described below.
2. Camera, microphone, Photos and Files
Camera and microphone permissions support video recording. Photo and file access supports importing videos you select. If a source is stored in the cloud, its photo or file provider may retrieve it to your device.
You can change permissions in device settings. Use footage for which you have the necessary permissions and consent from subjects and rights holders.
3. Storage and backups
Analysis copies of imported videos, clips, analysis results and export data are stored within the app. Importing does not overwrite the original video in your photo library or other source.
App analysis data and video copies are excluded from device backups. Export the main MotionLab JSON for projects you want to keep and store the source video separately. JSON does not contain the source video. The operator cannot restore projects from a server after device loss, failure or app deletion.
5. Free-use records and purchases
The app stores records of successful free analyses in a non-synchronizing, device-only Keychain entry to determine the remaining free allowance. It does not use an independent server to synchronize free uses across devices or accounts. Reinstalling is not guaranteed to reset the allowance.
Purchases, restoration and entitlement checks are designed to use Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Public purchases are not available yet. Apple processes payment details; the operator does not receive credit-card numbers or similar information.
6. TestFlight and diagnostics
For TestFlight builds, Apple collects beta-usage and crash information and provides it to the operator. This includes device and operating-system details and, depending on how you were invited, may include your name and email address. Screenshots and feedback you submit are also shared. These are used to investigate issues and improve the app.
This is separate from automatically uploading source video for analysis. Do not include personal information or footage in feedback without the necessary consent of the people involved.
7. Support inquiries
If you contact us, we receive your contact details, message and any app version, device, operating system or reproduction steps you choose to provide. We use them to respond and investigate. Do not send video or body-analysis data at the outset. If additional material is needed, we discuss its scope and a suitable way to send it.
The website contact form uses Google Forms and email services. The Website Privacy Policy explains handling through the form and when browsing the website.
8. Retention, safeguards and external processing
On-device projects are retained as app data until you delete them. Keychain free-use records, Apple's purchase history and copies shared externally are managed separately from projects.
We retain support and diagnostic information we receive for responding, improving the app and keeping necessary records. When legal obligations, dispute resolution, ongoing support or similar reasons no longer require retention, we delete it or organize it so individuals are no longer identifiable. We protect it through measures such as access restrictions and do not sell it.
Apple and storage destinations you choose may handle information outside your country, under their own policies. We take measures required by applicable law for our own outsourcing and disclosures.
9. Information requests and children
Use the contact form to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of information we hold. We verify identity to the extent necessary and respond under applicable law. For on-device data we have not received or destinations you control, we can explain the relevant controls.
When children send information or participate in filming, review the activity with a parent or guardian and obtain their consent where required.
10. Updates and operator
MotionLab Capture is operated by 1225labo. We update this policy when features or information practices change. Significant changes are announced in the app or on the website, with notices or consent requests where required by law.
