Kazusa Pocket Privacy Policy

1225labo ("we") explains below how we handle information about users of our regional information service, Kazusa Pocket.
1. Scope
This policy covers browsing Kazusa Pocket and using its accounts, reactions, information reports, and other features. The privacy policy for the 1225labo official website also applies when you browse that website or use its inquiry form. The two websites have separate analytics and cookie settings.
External maps, authentication services, facility websites, and other third-party services are subject to their providers' terms and privacy policies.
2. Information we collect and store
For accounts, we handle email addresses, display names, language preferences, password hashes, dates of acceptance of terms, registration and updates, login dates, counts and IP addresses, and records needed for authentication and preventing misuse. We do not store passwords in plain text.
If you use an external login, we receive the service identifier, display name, email address, profile image URL, and nickname to the extent the provider supplies them. Our current account storage process does not persistently store external-service access tokens.
Depending on the features used, we store Visited, Like, and Favorite reactions; the subject, category, details, and source URL of reports; inquiry contents; and handling status. Reports and reactions made while signed in are linked to the account. When advertising inquiries are offered, we also handle business or store names, contact names, email addresses, optional phone numbers, requested conditions, and inquiry details.
To provide and secure the service, we may handle connection and usage information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, timestamps, pages viewed, referring pages, and cookies. Do not include confidential information or another person's personal information in free-text fields unless it is needed to address your request.
3. How we use information
We use information for identity verification, login and account management; saved places and reactions; responding to reports and inquiries; checking and correcting listings; and, when offered, handling advertising inquiries and contracts.
We also use information as needed to prevent and investigate misuse, disruptive behavior and faults; analyze usage; improve displays, search and other features; send important notices; comply with laws; and protect rights.
5. Location, maps, and weather connections
When you choose a location feature, latitude and longitude obtained with browser permission are used on your device to calculate distances and move the map. This process does not send or store the latitude and longitude themselves through our facility-card retrieval API. To retrieve cards, your device sends facility IDs sorted by distance.
For maps, hazard overlays, and rain radar, the browser retrieves tiles and data from providers such as OpenStreetMap, Japan's Geospatial Information Authority, and the Japan Meteorological Agency. Each provider receives connection information such as the originating IP address and tile requests corresponding to the area shown. Embedded maps connect to external providers even before you open an external directions service.
Weather displays connect to providers such as the Japan Meteorological Agency and Open-Meteo. Current Open-Meteo weather requests use fixed regional coordinates, not the user's GPS coordinates. You can also select areas or places without using your current location.
6. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity
Kazusa Pocket's production website uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to analyze usage and usability. This includes pages and URLs viewed (which may include query parameters), referring pages, devices and browsers, approximate regions, clicks, scrolling, and page transitions. Clarity provides analysis through heatmaps and session recordings.
Information is processed using each provider's technology and settings. Cookie restrictions and available provider opt-out tools can limit some storage and measurement, but disabling cookies does not necessarily stop every connection.
Analytics settings and consent choices on the 1225labo official website apply to that separate website. A choice there does not by itself change Kazusa Pocket's analytics settings. See the following information about the providers' practices and available controls.
7. External services, service providers, and disclosures
As needed to operate the service, we use hosting, email, inquiry-form, analytics, external authentication, map, weather, and other providers. External login is a user-selected option where available; we receive information needed for authentication from services such as Google, LINE, and X.
Reports and advertising inquiries may also be recorded in emails sent to our operations team. When checking listings, we may use research and editorial assistance services, limiting information to what is needed and taking care to remove unnecessary personal information. Information may be processed outside Japan depending on providers' facilities and arrangements; we address procedures and safeguards required by applicable law.
We do not sell personal information. Except for processing by service providers and other cases permitted by law, we do not disclose personal data to third parties without consent. We may disclose information as permitted by law, including when required by law or necessary to protect life, health, or property where obtaining consent is difficult.
8. Sponsor advertising and advertising inquiries
Where advertisements or sponsored information appear, they are identified as such. Current sponsor placement selects content matching the area or category being viewed. Applications, purchases, and other transactions at external destinations are with their providers.
Sponsor links record aggregate click counts and retain campaign identifiers and click times in the session to reduce duplicate counting within 12 hours. When advertising inquiries are available, submitted information is used for discussions, contractual communications, and handling records.
9. Retention and security
We determine retention periods based on continued use of accounts and features, the status of inquiries and reports, follow-up inquiries and disputes, legal obligations, and security or misuse investigations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it by reasonable means or process it so that individuals can no longer be identified.
Deleting an account deletes its associated external authentication information and account-linked reactions. Reports needed to check listings or for similar purposes may remain with the user link removed. Report text, browser-identification digests, emails, logs, backups, and other records may be retained separately; deleting an account does not erase every record immediately.
We work to manage information securely through measures including access controls, HTTPS connections, and password hashing. Records held by external providers are handled under their policies and applicable agreements with us.
10. Requests for access, correction, restriction, or deletion
When you or an authorized representative requests notice of processing purposes, access, correction, addition or deletion, restriction of use, erasure, cessation of third-party disclosure, or similar action, we verify identity and respond under applicable law. If we cannot fulfill part of a request, we explain why.
To request account deletion, use the 1225labo official inquiry form below. Include the service name, Kazusa Pocket, your request, and a reply address. Do not include passwords or authentication codes. We will explain any identity-verification steps individually.

11. Minors
If you are a minor, review this policy with a parent or guardian as appropriate and obtain any consent required by applicable law. Avoid including unnecessary personal information in inquiries or reports.
12. Changes and contact
We review this policy as the service, information handling, or applicable laws change. For important changes, we clearly explain the changes and their effective date on the website.
